# Coral > Coral is an open-source ecosystem of independent Jellyfin modules. Each one runs as a Docker container, talks to your Jellyfin server, and does one thing brilliantly. Coral is not a fork of Jellyfin and not a plugin framework. Each module is a standalone Docker container that reads a Jellyfin server over its HTTP API. Modules never share a database; Jellyfin stays the source of truth. Everything is MIT licensed, with no paid tier and no hosted service. ## Modules - [Aurora](https://getcoral.dev/apps/aurora): High-end cinematic Jellyfin frontend. Aurora is a free, open-source alternative web client for Jellyfin. It runs as a single Docker container alongside your existing server, reads your libraries over the Jellyfin API, and gives you a full-bleed, big-screen interface with rails, rich detail pages and playback that reports progress back to Jellyfin. - [KAPOW!](https://getcoral.dev/apps/kapow): Comic-book karaoke queue manager for bars and parties. KAPOW! is a free, open-source karaoke queue system for bars, events and parties. The host opens a room, guests join by scanning a QR code on their own phone with nothing to install, everyone searches and votes songs up the queue, and a separate TV view drives the screen in the room. - [Tide](https://getcoral.dev/apps/tide): Torrent downloads with a calmer control surface. Tide is a free, open-source torrent client with a web interface, built for self-hosted download boxes. It runs as one Docker container, enforces real active-download and seeding limits, lets you set per-file piece priorities, and pauses torrents automatically when it approaches its memory cap. - [Fathom](https://getcoral.dev/apps/fathom): Modern reading room for Jellyfin libraries. Fathom is a free, open-source reading interface for books, manga, comics and PDFs that already live in Jellyfin. It runs as one Docker container, reads your Jellyfin reading libraries over the API, and presents them cover-first with featured shelves, collections and recent additions. - [Marquee](https://getcoral.dev/apps/marquee): Ambient now-playing display for Jellyfin spaces. Marquee is a free, open-source ambient display for Jellyfin. It runs as one Docker container and turns a spare TV, tablet or wall panel into an always-on screen showing what is playing now, what is up next, and what was recently added — with nothing to click. - [Encore](https://getcoral.dev/apps/encore): Moderated guest music requests for house-party mode. Encore is a free, open-source request layer for your Jellyfin music library. Share a link at a party, guests browse your catalogue from their own phones and request tracks, and you approve or reject each one before it reaches the queue — so the room gets a say without anyone hijacking the speakers. - [Librarian](https://getcoral.dev/apps/librarian): Media hygiene and enrichment for self-hosted libraries. Librarian is a free, open-source tool for keeping a self-hosted media library tidy. It runs as one Docker container, imports finished downloads by hardlinking them into your media tree, flags missing metadata and duplicates, and queues bulk renaming and tagging — without Jellyfin ever losing ownership of the library. ## Comparisons - [Aurora vs the Jellyfin web client](https://getcoral.dev/compare/aurora-vs-jellyfin-web): How Aurora's cinematic Jellyfin frontend compares to the official web client and Jellyfin Vue, including what the stock client still does better. - [Fathom vs Kavita and Komga](https://getcoral.dev/compare/fathom-vs-kavita-komga): Should your books live in Jellyfin or in a dedicated reading server? Fathom, Kavita and Komga compared for manga, comics, ebooks and PDFs. - [KAPOW! vs Karaoke Eternal](https://getcoral.dev/compare/kapow-vs-karaoke-eternal): A self-hosted karaoke comparison — KAPOW! searches YouTube and runs a voting queue, Karaoke Eternal plays your own local library with no internet. - [Librarian vs tinyMediaManager](https://getcoral.dev/compare/librarian-vs-tinymediamanager): Two approaches to media library hygiene — Librarian is a web app that hardlinks imports and reads Jellyfin, tinyMediaManager is a mature desktop scraper. - [Tide vs qBittorrent](https://getcoral.dev/compare/tide-vs-qbittorrent): An honest comparison of Tide and qBittorrent for self-hosted torrenting — queue control, memory handling, RSS automation, and where each one wins. ## Guides - [A Jellyfin Docker Compose stack with Aurora, Tide and Librarian](https://getcoral.dev/guides/jellyfin-docker-compose-stack): A complete docker-compose.yml for Jellyfin with a cinematic frontend, a torrent client and library cleanup — including the mount layout that makes it work. ## Shared packages - [@get-coral/ui](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@get-coral/ui): shared React component library and design tokens. - [@get-coral/jellyfin](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@get-coral/jellyfin): fully typed TypeScript client for the Jellyfin API. - [@get-coral/tsconfig](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@get-coral/tsconfig): shared TypeScript configuration. - [@get-coral/biome-config](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@get-coral/biome-config): shared Biome configuration. - [create-coral](https://www.npmjs.com/package/create-coral): scaffold a new Coral module (`pnpm create coral@latest`). ## Optional - [Full text of every page](https://getcoral.dev/llms-full.txt) - [Documentation](https://docs.getcoral.dev) - [Source code](https://github.com/Get-Coral) - [Ecosystem stats](https://getcoral.dev/stats) - [Community](https://discord.gg/M3wzFpGbzp)
